The 19,4000 square foot addition and the 36,880 square foot remodeling included new communication, sound, sound masking, fire sprinklers, mechanical and electrical systems, interior finishes and open office furniture.

The retaining walls were required due to the project being built in a flood plain and the properties high water table level, was aesthetically incorporated into the terraced landscape. The water table was found to be 7' below grade and required preventive measures to be taken in order to keep the excavations from filling with water.

This building, constructed along the shores of the Wisconsin River, was created to house employees of the Department of Transportation and Department of Motor Vehicle. Five different material types from the original stone and marble finish systems to the newly installed Mankato stone, face brick and glazed aluminum curtain wall were incorporated in the exterior of the building.
